HTF Fair Value Gap
Multi-timeframe FVG overlay — see imbalances from up to five higher timeframes on your execution chart.
Overview
HTF FVG is a multi-timeframe Fair Value Gap overlay that pulls FVGs from up to five separate higher timeframes and displays them simultaneously on your execution chart. Rather than switching between timeframes, you can see all imbalances at once.
The indicator supports five independently configurable timeframes (HTF1–HTF5), each with distinct bullish and bearish colors. FVGs are filtered by ATR-based sensitivity and a lookback period controls historical gap sourcing. Padding and spacing settings manage visual rendering, while an optional Consequent Encroachment line marks each gap's 50% midpoint.
Settings
General
Detection Sensitivity — High / Medium / Low (default: Medium) Determines ATR-based minimum gap size. High: 0.2× ATR catches most blocks. Medium: 0.5× ATR filters small ones. Low: 1.0× ATR only shows large, significant gaps.
Lookback Period — 1 Day / 1 Week / 1 Month / Max (default: 1 Week) Controls how far back the indicator scans for unmitigated FVGs.
Show Consequent Encroachment — Toggle (default: off) Draws a dashed line at the 50% midpoint of each HTF FVG.
Extend HTF FVGs by X bars — Integer (default: 10) Controls how many bars to the right each FVG box extends beyond the current candle.
Timeframes (HTF1–HTF5)
Each timeframe block includes:
Show HTFn — Toggle Enables or disables that timeframe's FVGs.

Bullish / Bearish — Color pickers Default: green (90% transparent) for bullish; red (90% transparent) for bearish.
Appearance
Label Text Color — Color picker (default: black)
Label Size — Tiny / Small / Normal / Large (default: Small)
CE Line Color — Color picker (default: black)
Show Border — Toggle (default: off)
Distance from current candle — Integer (default: 4) Horizontal padding in bars between current candle and FVG box start.
Spacing between timeframes — Integer (default: 6) Vertical gap between overlapping FVG boxes from different timeframes.
How We Use It
This is the team's primary PDA (Premium/Discount Array) reference tool. On a 1-minute chart, we set HTF1 to 5 minutes, HTF2 to 15 minutes, and HTF3 to 60 minutes.
The most reliable setups occur when a 1-minute CISD or FVG sits inside or at the edge of an HTF FVG — creating overlap that clusters multiple institutional orders in the same area. The CE line on the HTF gap often marks the specific price for limit order placement.
Keep the lookback period reasonable for your trading style. "1 Week" works well for intraday; longer lookbacks are better for swing analysis.
