Candle Range Theory — visualize higher-timeframe candle patterns with SMT divergence and live projections.

Overview

CRT stands for Candle Range Theory — an ICT concept based on reading the three-candle pattern:

1. Setup candle — Prior baseline establishing the range
2. Manipulation candle — Liquidity sweep beyond the range
3. Distribution candle — Directional delivery following the sweep

The indicator renders higher-timeframe candles directly on your chart as visual overlays, with live OHLC projection lines, SMT divergence detection, countdown timer for candle closure, and an information display box.

Settings

Info Box

Show Info Box — Toggle (default: on) Displays indicator name, timeframe, symbol, and date.

Text Color — Color picker (default: black, 20% transparent)

Timeframe Settings

Timeframe — 1 MIN to 1 MONTH (default: 15 MIN) Selects the higher timeframe for candle rendering.

Display Settings

Number of HTF Candles — 1–10 (default: 5)

Horizontal Offset — 1–50 bars (default: 10)

Candle Width — Narrow / Medium / Wide / Extra Wide (default: Medium)

Transparency — None / Low / Medium / High / Full (default: None)

Show Time Label — Toggle (default: on)

Time Format — 24 Hour / 12 Hour (default: 24 Hour)

Label Size — Tiny / Small / Normal / Large / Huge (default: Small)

Show HTF Close Timer — Toggle (default: on) Countdown display until candle closure.

Visual Settings

Bullish Color — Color picker (default: green)

Bearish Color — Color picker (default: red)

Border Color — Color picker (default: black)

Wick Color — Color picker (default: black)

SMT Settings

Enable SMT — Toggle (default: on)

Correlated Asset — Symbol (default: CME_MINI:ES1!)

SMT Color — Color picker (default: black)

SMT Line Style — Solid / Dashed / Dotted (default: Dashed)

SMT Line Width — 1–5 (default: 1)

Enable SMT Alerts — Toggle (default: on)

Show SMT Labels — Toggle (default: on)

Current Candle Projections

Enable Projections — Toggle (default: on) Draws horizontal OHLC lines extending left.

Left Extension (bars) — 0–50 (default: 8)

Show Open / High / Low / Close Projection — Individual toggles (all default: on)

Open / High / Low / Close Color — Individual color pickers (all default: black)

Line Style — Solid / Dashed / Dotted (default: Dotted)

Line Width — 1–5 (default: 1)

Show Price Labels — Toggle (default: on)

Label Size — Tiny / Small / Normal / Large / Huge (default: Small)

Alert Settings

Enable Alerts — Toggle (default: on)

How We Use It

We use CRT on 15-minute timeframes while executing on 1-minute charts. The close timer enables precise entry timing relative to distribution candle phases. SMT detection at HTF swing points signals potential manipulation sweeps, guiding entries during subsequent pullbacks toward FVG or CISD levels.
