How to Use Our Indicators
How to purchase, claim access, and get our indicators running on TradingView.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- A TradingView account — a free plan works to view indicators on your chart, but a TradingView Essentials plan or higher is required to use alerts
- A Whop purchase — indicators are sold through our Whop store; access is granted through there
- Your TradingView username — you'll need this during the claim process
Step 1: Purchase on Whop
All Taking Prophets indicators are sold through Whop. After completing your purchase, you'll get access to the Taking Prophets Whop community where you'll claim your indicator access.
Step 2: Claim Your TradingView Access
Once inside the Whop community:
- Open the claim access app inside the Taking Prophets Whop page
- Enter your TradingView username exactly as it appears on your TradingView account
- Submit the form
Your TradingView username is case-sensitive. Double-check it before submitting — it needs to match your account exactly.
After submitting, it typically takes 5–10 minutes for access to be granted to your TradingView account.
Step 3: Find the Indicator in TradingView
Once access has been granted:
- Open TradingView and log into the account you submitted
- Click the Indicators button at the top of any chart (or press
/) - Go to the Invite-Only Scripts tab
- Search for the indicator by name
- Click to add it to your chart
Step 4: Configure the Settings
Each indicator has a settings panel accessible by clicking the gear icon next to the indicator name on the chart.
Key settings you'll typically find:
- Timeframe — Some indicators are designed for specific timeframes (1m, 5m, 15m). The individual indicator docs will specify the recommended TF.
- Sensitivity / Threshold — Controls how aggressively signals are generated. Start with the defaults.
- Visual options — Toggle labels, lines, background shading, and alerts on/off to match your chart style.
Start with default settings and observe during live sessions (9–11 AM ET) to understand usage patterns before making adjustments.
Step 5: Set Up Alerts (Optional)
Most indicators support TradingView alerts. A TradingView Essentials plan or higher is required to use them.
- Right-click on the chart → Add Alert (or press
Alt+A) - Set the Condition to the indicator and the specific signal
- Choose your notification method — browser, mobile push, email, or webhook
- Click Create
Troubleshooting
I submitted my username but the indicator isn't showing up in Invite-Only Scripts
Wait 5–10 minutes after submitting. If it still doesn't appear, close TradingView completely and reopen it — this refreshes access and usually resolves the issue.
The indicator shows an error on the chart
This usually means your TradingView account doesn't have access to a required data type (e.g., extended hours or certain exchanges). Try switching the chart to a standard session or reach out in Discord.
I submitted the wrong TradingView username
